Happy Hallowe’en
I’ve never embraced the spooky side of Hallowe’en. Perhaps that’s because my mother always dressed me as a clown. That’s me as a 3-year-old Chuckles. Sorry it’s so grainy. It’s taken from a 40-plus-year-old roll of 8mm film.
For my Hallowe’en post, I debated reviewing Vincent Price’s cookbook (out of print), showing a video of a pumpkin carving itself into a jack-o-lantern (fun until it vomits out its insides) or making creepy witch finger cookies (already been done by the best).
So, my fallback position is comedy. Campy Star Trek meets classic Monty Python. It’s a treat to watch. It uses some tricky lip syncing. And in true Python style, it’s just plain silly.
Happy Hallowe’en. Gotta go carve a pumpkin.
