Forgive me. Please.
There must be something wrong with me. For lunch today, I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich with 5-year-old orange cheddar on whole wheat European-style sourdough bread. And what did I do to it?
Burned it? No. It was crispy golden brown.
Dropped it? No. It made it from the skillet to the plate without incident.
Having made a sandwich from the best ingredients possible, I did this.
Yes, I ate it my gourmet lunch with ketchup. Organic ketchup, but ketchup nonetheless. I don’t eat ketchup on hamburgers, hot dogs or French fries, but I can’t eat grilled cheese without it. I assume it’s a throw over from childhood. Oh well, at least I don’t eat Velveeta anymore.
So, do you have any dirty little culinary secrets you care to share?
