Whisky Works – As the Barrel Turns (Episode 26)

DSC04392.JPGWe are vexed to report that after the Canada Dominion Day celebrations, the cask seemed lighter than ever.

Given this photographic evidence, it appears the Canadian Legends Action Figure of Sir John A. Macdonald inexplicably came to life. When no one was looking, our country’s first Prime Minister was refilling his stash of beloved whisky from our private keg.

While Charmian was out enjoying the annual fireworks display, Andrew caught Sir John eying the cask.

In stereotypical Canadian fashion, Andrew didn’t oust our nation’s founder. Instead, he asked him to turn the barrel. For once, Old Tomorrow didn’t put off an important decision. He readily agreed.

His official duties over, Old Chieftain heads off to look for other chores involving scotch.

While the history books might credit Sir John with building the country and ensuring CP rail stretched from coast to coast, here he will always be known as Guest Turner #11.
