Black Forest Ice Cream Crepes
Last week, Elizabeth Kricfalusi and I did a blog swap. She bravely told Christie’s Corner readers about the challenges she encountered while developing a recipe for crepes, while I told Embrace Adventure readers about workshopping my play.
Elizabeth is sharing the recipe for Black Forest Ice Cream Crepes on her blog. Don’t worry. I’m not about to post a scene from my script, just a link to her crepe-making instructions.
It seems unfair. This tit-for-tat exchange has left me hankering for ice cream. And I’ll bet you dollars to maple dips Elizabeth doesn’t feel the urge to write a play.
With hot summer weather coming, I find myself once again toying with the idea of buying an ice cream maker. Of course, I’d focus on healthy frozen yogurt, fruit-filled gelato and fat-free sorbets. I know I swore off “maker” machines, but with the promise of four potential creations, this wouldn’t fall into the dreaded the one-trick pony category.
Or perhaps I should arrange a gadget swap — one coffee roasting hot air popper for an ice cream maker. Anyone game?
