Time flies

* Update: This post went out prematurely and incomplete due to a disconnect between my brain and Blogger software. After some cursing and ineffective threats to my monitor, I finished the post. It should make sense now.

I don’t know where today went. Last time I looked at the clock it was 3 in the afternoon. Now it’s almost time for House.

One of the hazards of working from a home office is you don’t have a mass exodus at 5:00 to tell you it’s time to shut down the computer and reconnect with the family. My husband, unendingly patient and a little leery of interrupting me when I’m on a roll, never complains. If I’m testing recipes he can come home to six dishes and a freezer full of packed lunches. If I’m writing? Well, he might be asked to fry a steak, and we all know the dangers of that.

One of my is-it-that-time-already dinners is green curry. By the time the rice is cooked, it’s ready. However, I can only serve it so often before certain people start complaining about the effects of coconut milk.

So, my question to you is this: What’s your favourite life-saver, last-minute, can’t-believe-I dropped-the-culinary-ball-again meal? Let me know and I’ll post it under my new category – QUICK MEALS.
