Huh?
Andrew and I saw this sign in Montreal. Often. It appeared in a wide variety of locations which only made its meaning more perplexing. While we came up with some creative interpretations, none of them made any sense. Got any ideas?
Post your suggestions in the comments section and I’ll give you the answer tomorrow. Bonus points if you have a great Montreal-based story to go along with it.
Tomorrow. A tour of Montreal’s most famous deli. And the meaning behind this cryptic sign.
Google+

It’s to indicate the location of siamese connections.
Nice one.
It’s not correct, but it’s a fun guess!
I wondered if it indicated a place where you could plug something in to charge it. Steve thought it indicated “low hanging lights”. In any case, it could certainly make for some interesting guesses….. especially after a glass or two of something stronger than coffee. :0)
You ARE allowed to peep in the door mail slots~! (But this is after only half a glass of wine—this may improve ~!)
My totally random guesses!
1-Cherry picking field close by.
2-Kids playing Conkers.
3-Redundant seatless bicycles lane.
That thing means there are dual water hose for firefighters in the wall.
Or, somebody who has balls can park near there.
Oh, I like your second translation.
Yes, I have been corrected on the real meaning of the mysterious sign. I rather like the idea of it being a picnic table. Clearly I have “gullible” written on my forehead.
