Wordless Wednesday: Old Spice

Wordless Wednesday: Old Spice

I know this is supposed to be Wordless Wednesday, but Google is viewing my text-free posts as duplicate content, which is a bad thing for a blogger. So I’m turning this into a game. The photo is wordless, but do you know what spice is on the plate?

No prize other than my respect and gratitude if you guess right. My gratitude if you guess wrong.

Happy Wednesday.

I don’t want to cheat, so I’m not writing what I THINK my cursor identifies it as when I roll over it…and it is NOT something I would ever have guessed at…so I will watch and see what it really is..

Yikes! Good catch, Barb. Thanks for not spoiling it for others.

I’ve changed the file name to something cryptic. I didn’t even know about that feature.

Thanks again for being a good sport.

Any chance it is saffron?? You know I’m hopeless at spice, so I am just guessing something I can spell and I know the colour of.

Good guess, but no it’s not saffron. Some people use this in place of saffron for its colour (not its taste).

Keep reading the comments to find out…

Bingo! It’s turmeric. Most people have only seen it ground.

Nice one, Jaime. Respect and gratitude coming your way!

Andrew bought the turmeric for me for Christmas. He got it in K-W at Fiddleheads. It’s by Arayuma and comes in a lovely woven bamboo box. I don’t know the price since it was a gift.
