Happy Hallowe’en

31 Oct Happy Hallowe’en

Clown.jpg

I’ve never embraced the spooky side of Hallowe’en. Perhaps that’s because my mother always dressed me as a clown. That’s me as a 3-year-old Chuckles. Sorry it’s so grainy. It’s taken from a 40-plus-year-old roll of 8mm film.

For my Hallowe’en post, I debated reviewing Vincent Price’s cookbook (out of print), showing a video of a pumpkin carving itself into a jack-o-lantern (fun until it vomits out its insides) or making creepy witch finger cookies (already been done by the best).

So, my fallback position is comedy. Campy Star Trek meets classic Monty Python. It’s a treat to watch. It uses some tricky lip syncing. And in true Python style, it’s just plain silly.

Happy Hallowe’en. Gotta go carve a pumpkin.

I’m going to share this to my husband. The only thing he loves more than Star Trek is Monty Python.

So funny! I just sent this to MY husband. I’m Star Trek, he’s Monty Python. We thought never the two should meet…

Cheryl and Lisa, I’ve yet to show this to MY husband, who will love it, too.

I must admit, when I found this clip I laughed so hard I choked on my coffee. I’d love to hear what the men in your lives think of it.

Now that is the way to celebrate Halloween! I don’t know where you find your stuff, but I love it.
    Happy candy day. Robin

Francis, I’m glad you liked it. I’ve got the dialogue running through my head still — and it’s been a few days.

Lisa, thanks for the honours! I’ve blogged about it today. What a real treat!
